I grew up about 20 minutes from Oly and my family has always been my main support system. During medical school, I completed a rotation in the Oly ED where the residents welcomed me not just as a future colleague, but also as a friend! I never felt like an outcast or inferior to the upperclassmen. At Oly, there are no “intern” or “senior” tasks. Instead, the residents work as a team and treat one another with respect.
